The Toddler Who Dressed As Queen Elizabeth For Halloween Receives A Response From The Queen, Who Praises Her “Splendid Outfit.”

An American copy of Queen Elizabeth exists!

Jalayne Sutherland, a 1-year-old from Ohio, dressed up like the monarch for Halloween. After her mother Katelyn sent pictures of the outfit to the palace, the family received a response last month from the Queen’s lady-in-waiting, the Hon. Mary Morrison

According to Today, Morrison reportedly wrote, “The Queen desires me to write and thank you for your letter, and for the thoughtfully enclosed photograph.”

“Your daughter, Jalayne, was delighted to be seen in the photograph in her splendid outfit,” which included a light blue jacket, matching wide-brimmed hat, handbag, and the monarch’s signature pearl necklace.

“Her Majesty thought it kind of you to write to her, and The Queen was pleased to see the photograph of your daughter, Jalayne, in her splendid outfit.” Even though the Queen is renowned for her affection for the corgi breed, Jalayne posed for a picture alongside the two of them.

“Her Majesty hopes you all have a very Merry Christmas, and I am including a little information about the Royal Pets, which Jalayne would like to have,” Morrison added in the letter.

In a picture obtained by Today, Jalayne proudly poses while holding the letter from Windsor Castle, where the Queen, 95, has been residing for most of the coronavirus outbreak. In fact, Jalayne continued to wear her costume’s headgear and white wig.

Even among famous people, Queen Elizabeth is a well-liked Halloween costume. In honor of Prince Philip, Chrissy Teigen dressed in the monarch’s go-to outfit for the 2018 holiday (complete with bags and gloves), while her husband John Legend wore a handmade red military uniform.

The Queen skipped her yearly journey to Sandringham for Christmas because of the rise in COVID-19 cases in the UK, but she spent the holiday at Windsor Castle with her son Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

She paid tribute to her late husband, Prince Philip, in her Christmas Day broadcast. He passed away in April at the age of 99.

Christmas may be difficult for those who have lost loved ones, she said in her usual holiday speech, “even if it’s a season of great happiness and good joy for many. This year, especially, I understand why.

However, she noted, “For me, in the months after the passing of my beloved Philip, I have found enormous comfort in the warmth and compassion of the countless tributes to his life and work – from all over the nation, the Commonwealth, and the world.

That mischievous, curious sparkle was just as bright at the end as it was when I first laid eyes on him. His sense of service, intellectual curiosity, and tendency to make any setting fun were all irrepressible.
