The Dog Swims Five Miles And Makes It To The Shore After Falling Overboard From The Owner’s Fishing Boat.

She had been swimming for miles and was exhausted. But right now, we’re going to get some burgers and ice cream.

A family dog that fell overboard from a fishing boat has been reunited with her owner after swimming five miles to shore.

Six days passed before Monster, the bull mix’s owner Keith Soffes spotted her and was able to piece together the events leading up to the incident. The Monster was out with him on her daily shrimping trip.

The public was alerted on social media by shrimp fisher Keith on May 26 that he worried his dog had fallen overboard as he was working on the family boat.

Keith’s GPS indicated they were approximately five miles from shore when he noticed Monster was not in her usual place as he was reeling in his catch. After a frantic search, it was discovered that she had vanished.

I looked around, and all I could see was open water. I believed she was incapable of making that swim. That dog is incapable of swimming that far.

However, Monster survived, dismissing his worries that he wouldn’t. It seems that Monster was able to make it back to shore on her own power, raw strength, and determination.

She was then picked up by a stranger and tied up with his dog at a trailer park after she had been swimming regularly, being used to the water and all of these things.

Although it is unknown how long Monster will need to swim to Galveston Bay, off the Southeast coast of Texas, heartbroken Keith continued to post requests for help on social media.

Five days later, Keith claims someone commented on a Facebook post he had written, stating they had seen a dog that matched Monster in a nearby park, which prompted him to begin looking, knocking on doors, and offering a prize for information.

I was broken-hearted, he admitted. I feared the worse for Monster. She’s terrified of the dark and has never gone a day without me. I was therefore anxious to locate her.

“I went door to door and showed people pictures of her; some of them indicated they had seen her; this gave me enough hope to continue. Then one of the women told me that she had seen my dog swimming into the bay from the bay.

“I kept looking, so I went to an old trailer park and knocked on every door. One man simply said, ‘I have your dog,'” I said. She was tied with his dog there.

There were many tears, stated Keith. I had experienced heartbreak without her.

Keith says Monster is now back to normal and acting as though the incident never happened after being fitted with a life jacket for her time spent on his shrimping boat.

I’m so happy I got my little buddy back, he said, adding that the monster dog was soundly sleeping and acting as if nothing had occurred.

He had said on Facebook on May 26 that he had lost the one thing he had genuinely loved in the world. My closest companion. Dog monster. We’re not entirely sure of what happened. She had lived aboard the boat her entire life since she was a puppy. Therefore we believe that she slipped off on a slick, quiet day. I looked everywhere.

“Hopefully, someone found her. We were close to marker 71. Contact me if you hear anyone talking about her. We are heartbroken to the core. I offer everything I have—which isn’t much—for just one more kiss so I can say, “Let’s go home, baby girl.” One more beach walk after a productive day at work.

As he expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped with the search, he said: “I just want to thank everyone so much, everyone who shared photographs and comments, friends who checked on me and helped me look for her, some people I’ve never even seen before. The world is full of wonderful people.

Thank you so much to everyone. Though I haven’t discovered her yet, I’m not giving up either. Hopefully, I will.”

Amazingly, a few days later, Keith revealed that he had received more kisses than any man had ever received in his life on May 31. I got the Monster puppy. I would want to thank everyone who shared. And a lot of prayers. Your prayers are heard by God. She had been swimming for miles and was exhausted. We are currently on our way to purchasing some hamburgers and ice cream.

And Keith wrote: “Monster dog sweetly napping” alongside a shot of his dog that showed him looking like he was smiling while deep in sleep. She keeps on as if nothing occurred. I told her how much suffering she had caused me. I was awake for five days. I have swollen eyes.

“My voice is never going to be the same after shouting her name, and she falls asleep smiling like a jaybird. I suspect she may have purposefully jumped off the roof in order to appear on TV. I’m happy that I have my little friend back, yet I still love her.
