Oprah Winfrey & Shania Twain’s Dinner Went Sour Once They Talked About Religion

Shania Twain has mastered knowing when to keep a discussion light.

In an interview with singer and host Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie for a new Table Manners podcast episode that debuted on Wednesday, the pop-country legend remembered a dinner she once had with Oprah Winfrey when the discussion became unpleasant when they started talking about religion.

Twain, 57, mentioned that she had dinner with Oprah Winfrey on the food-related podcast, adding that it was one of her most memorable meals. She is a really intelligent woman.

While the “What’s Your Pleasure?” singer mentioned the ’90s, it’s unclear when this particular dinner occurred. On the show, Ware, 37, asked Twain about a memorable dinner from her life.”It was wonderful to sit and speak, but as soon as we started discussing religion, everything turned nasty. I so said, “Let’s quit discussing religion!” “Twain sprang to mind. She is religious.

Winfrey, 68, and Twain worked together on the 2011 documentary series Why Not? Twain has been interviewed by Winfrey several times throughout her decades-long career. This aired on OWN for six episodes and featured Shania Twain.

They collaborate, although it seems they have different views on religion because Twain doesn’t follow any particular faith. “I wouldn’t say I’m a practicing member of a certain faith. I consider myself to be lot more spiritual “explained her. I consider myself to be a seeker.

The author continued by reciting a timeless lesson she had to learn the hard way: “Everyone constantly advises, ‘Never talk about politics or religion.'”She claimed that although the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” singer was willing to discuss their different theological perspectives at the time, “It simply wasn’t arguable.”

Twain said, “And I like to dispute, but there was no space for it. “Everything is up for debate with Canadians. So I think, “Oh, OK.” It’s time to switch topics.”

Twain just released the single “Waking Up Dreaming,” which was influenced by the 1980s. In a recent interview with The Sun, she discussed the choice to go topless on the song’s cover image, which features her sporting a cowboy hat, vibrant boots, a white blouse knotted around her waist, and virtually nothing else.

“That image was styled by myself. All I had to do was remove my bra, my blouse, tie it around my waist, “the well-known musician said to the publication. “This is a statement of being at ease in my skin and simply being who I am,” she said.

If any critics object to her decision to be semi-nude on the “You must be tough, Twain said on the “Waking Up Dreaming” album cover. With criticism, I almost never feel angry. It’s natural not to be able to satisfy everyone.”
