In The Past Year, Terry Bradshaw Has Received A Diagnosis For 2 Different Types Of Cancer

In an effort to be more transparent with his fans, Terry Bradshaw just revealed that he had had two cancer diagnoses in the past year.

When co-hosting “Fox NFL Sunday” on October 2nd, the 74-year-old Football Hall of Famer revealed, “Last week on this show, I ran out of breath, and Howie helped me up, and a lot of people are asking what’s wrong with me.” I simply wish to confront it and inform you of my life’s events.

“I received a diagnosis of bladder cancer in November. I visited the Yale University Medical Center to have surgery and receive treatment. I am currently bladder cancer-free, “he said. “That’s good news, I guess. After that, I felt great in March. My left neck has a tumor in it that is a Merkel cell tumor, a rare type of skin cancer. After, I had a horrible neck and had an MRI.

The former Steelers quarterback said that he underwent surgery at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to have it removed.

Folks, while I may not look like my old self, I still feel the same. I have cancer-free, excellent health, and with time, I’ll return to my previous activity level. Therefore, thank you for your prayers and your concern.

As co-host Michael Strahan added that Bradshaw was the “greatest teammate” and that everyone knew, he seemed to get emotional.

You know we love you, and you keep this show together, but despite all that, we're just so thrilled you're here and that you're cancer-free

“You know we love you, and you keep this show together, but despite all that, we’re just so thrilled you’re here and that you’re cancer-free, “Added Strahan. “Many people who are through quite similar circumstances will, in my opinion, find great hope in you.

With four Super Bowl victories in six years, Bradshaw played a crucial role in the Steelers dynasty of the 1970s. He was admitted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989.

What do you think about Terry Bradshaw’s sad news? Do you know anyone who has a similar type of cancer? Please let us know about them in the comment section, and don’t forget to spread the news so that we can hear from more people.

    1. Yes I have a very good friend that had Merkel Cell Carcinoma. If they got it all that is great. If not it comes back with a vengeance. I also have bladder cancer and have been clear for 12 years. Had a mass removed last week and waiting on results. Merkle Cell was a big concern of mine. I wish Terry the very best of luck for full remission.
