In a perfect world, our family would enjoy having dinner together every night and eating the same meal. However, this is practically difficult when you have young children, each of whom has unique likes and dislikes.
Dad Charlie is one individual who has some experience with this. The American social media sensation released a video of himself preparing his kids’ dinners earlier this year. He has 2.2 million TikTok followers.
The father made a video of himself serving his oldest and youngest children a hot dog with all the toppings and a side of curly fries to make light of the cliché that middle children are neglected.
On the other hand, he then humorously made a terrible ham and cheese sandwich for the “middle child” using the two end pieces of a loaf of bread.
“Not the ends,” he captioned the video.
The video has since received almost 90,000 Facebook “likes,” but shocked viewers weren’t upset by the variation in food.
The two kids were instead permitted to have their meal in private in their bedrooms, which surprised the other parents.
One said, “Can’t eat in bedrooms.”
Another person continued, “Even though I was ill, I was still made to sit down and eat at the table.”
A third person commented, “I would never permit my kids to have meals in their bedrooms.” “Always seated at the same table.”
A fourth said, “I would not be sending food to their rooms for sure – they can come and receive it when it’s done – snacks are good eaten this way, but big meals should all be together if possible.”
A fifth responded as follows: “A wonderful time to spend time together and discuss your plans for the day or how the day went is when you eat breakfast together, go out to dine, or have dinner together. Speak with your kids!”
Thinking you’re all taking this a little too seriously, a supporter who jumped to Charlie’s defence stated.
Another person commented, “I personally don’t like dining with other people; I simply want to consume my food in privacy. “That doesn’t imply my connection with my family isn’t excellent, alright.”
