Kevin Nash has spoken out about the passing of his son Tristen, who was 26 years old.
The WWE Hall of Famer discussed the tragedy on his podcast “Kliq,” claiming that his son suffered a seizure that he thinks was brought on by quitting drinking abruptly.
According to Nash, who was quoted by Wrestlingnews.co, “the seizure triggered the heart arrest.” “The EMT was treating him when he was practically dead on the floor in his room. They brought him back, placed him in the ambulance, and made an effort to preserve his life. So I want to say thank you to the staff at Halifax Hospital, including the nurses and physicians.
“It was a case where we both quit drinking abruptly because we had both made the decision to do so. You stop drinking coffee for a day and get a headache, so I don’t believe either of us felt fantastic. I believe that we were both coping with it.
On his father’s podcast, Tristen was serving in the capacity of producer. The senior Nash discussed their decision to give up drinking.
“He’d been involved in a few situations. Last Wednesday, when we were actually seated here, he secretly drank four or five beers during the performance. Nash stated, “I got mad at him because he had a scenario at the beginning of the year when he was in the hospital for approximately 60 days.
Nash kept thinking as he walked.
He added, “He passes after the show and a week later. He wasn’t feeling well, so you can tell when you look back on things. As a result, my wife and I were sorts of like waiting for him endlessly. We were aware that he was making an effort. According to WebMD, one of the risks of quitting cold turkey is an increased chance of having a seizure.
Nash also went over their chat with him again.
“He told me that your son wouldn’t survive. “I’m not going to pull out his breathing tube,” I said. No, I won’t. You can’t do that. We can’t bring his bottom number up because, according to what you’re saying, he damaged his heart during the cardiac arrest,” Nash replied. As a result of his inability to push blood, the bottom ventricle suffered considerable damage. Even though they medically reduced the highest number, his top number was considerably higher; he was 111 over 55. He stopped passing urine. So many things were getting worse.
Nash, a 63-year-old wrestler, is regarded as one of the sport’s most important figures in recent memory. He transitioned from the then-WWF to WCW alongside Scott Hall, and soon after, he and Hulk Hogan founded the NWO, kicking off the storied Monday Night Wars between the two promotions. Tragically, Hall died in March from multiple heart attacks brought on by complications from hip surgery.
The former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon texted him, “This is my new number,” according to what he revealed on the show, and was one of the people he heard from following the sad death of his son. “If you need me, I’m here,” said Ric Flair, who also lost his son Reid, who was 25 years old, in 2013.
