Tom Selleck has had a long and prosperous career in show business. Since the upcoming season of the popular drama series Blue Bloods is set to premiere, the Magnum, P.I., and Blue Bloods actor is still devoted to his work.
Selleck has acted in a variety of challenging roles over the years. The 77-year-old, however, has a history of doing his stunts, unluckily returning to haunt him.

Tom Selleck wasn’t sure he wanted to be an actor when he was younger. He was born on January 29, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, but his family later emigrated to California, where he spent his young years in the San Fernando Valley.
The Early Life Of Tom Selleck
Although Selleck’s family could not pay the tuition, he had always wanted to attend the University of Southern California (USC).
He left Grant High School in 1962 with a diploma. He lived with his parents to save money after enrolling at Los Angeles Valley College.
Tom’s early career made it appear more likely that he would pursue an athletic career than acting. He aspired to play professional basketball and was an aspiring basketball player. Selleck described his first encounter with Jillie Mack, who was the star of the musical Cats, in an interview with Closer Weekly. It was the 1980s, following the dissolution of Selleck’s ten-year union with model Jacqueline Ray.
Though she initiated contact, Selleck approached his future wife onstage despite his claim that he isn’t as slick with women as his on-screen competitors.
“She had to perform on stage. I was blathering when she finally inquired, “Would you like to meet for a cocktail?” Selleck recalled.
According to reports, the date went well because Selleck and Mack got married in 1987 during a quiet ceremony. Hannah was born to them one year after their wedding.
Since then, Selleck has prioritized his family over fame and made an effort to keep his private life out of the media spotlight.
I Gave Up Magnum To Start A Family
He even allowed his acting profession to take a back seat in order to make sure he had enough time to be with his wife and cherished daughter.
In 2012, Tom Selleck told People, “I left Magnum to start a family.”
“It took a while to get off the train, but this ranch has really helped me maintain equilibrium.”

Later, she turned her love of horses into Descanso Farm, a highly successful breeding and training business. She hopes that she and her father, Tom, will be able to continue their love of horses for a very long time.
