He is a prominent member of Hollywood as well as a family man and a father of five children. He has been married to Gena O’Kelley, a former model who is now an actor and television host, for almost 22 years.

Norris is one of our favorite characters because he never misses an opportunity to tell Gena and the rest of us how much she means to him. Gina had been married before, just like Chuck. The details of her divorce from Gordon Hinschberger, with whom she had two children named Kelley and Tim, are unclear.

The actor recently posted a picture of the couple on their wedding day along with the caption, “22 years ago, I became the luckiest guy in the world when Gena and I got married. Happy Anniversary to you, my lovely wife!

There are not enough words to adequately express how much I love and value you. I’m grateful that you let me into your life.

I give thanks to God that we have each other every day. Chuck and Gina are parents to two children, Danielle and Dakota, and their union is perfect in terms of their love for one another. However, when Gina started having health problems about ten years ago, their lives completely changed.

The couple claims that Gena underwent a regular MRI scan in 2013 and received an injection as is normal before undergoing the procedure. She immediately began to shiver, and her entire body began to burn.

Doctors struggled to make a diagnosis since they were unsure of what could have caused her to experience such a terrible burning sensation. Over time, her situation simply became worse. She started experiencing trouble breathing, muscle ache, and joint discomfort as the pain moved to her ribs.

After doctors failed to properly diagnose and treat Gina, she decided to handle the situation herself. She carefully examined all of her symptoms. It ultimately caused her to develop gadolinium poisoning.

After receiving treatment, her symptoms started to improve, but she still has a long way to go before she is fully recovered. “Within hours of the initial jab, I felt like acid had been poured through my body; it felt like it was on fire.” Although the fire was first contained, it swiftly spread.

I required round-the-clock nursing care since I spent five months confined to bed with an IV. Chuck slept beside me on the sofa and didn’t move. I prayed that I would live to see the growth of my children, she stated.

She fights the illness with the support of her loving husband by her side. Chuck even gave up his acting profession to be able to take care of her. Chuck said, “I’ve given up my movie career to concentrate on Gena; right now, my entire life is devoted to keeping her alive.

“I think it’s important,” chuck said. Gena continued, “It’s frustrating and sad.” “Chuck and I are determined to fix that. It’s a cruel, ugly secret that has gone ignored.”

Since the start of Gena’s struggle, Chuck and she have filed 11 lawsuits against healthcare organizations in an effort to obtain justice. We are hoping for the best for Chuck Norris and Gena in their future efforts.

We can only hope she quickly makes a full recovery. Share this story with your loved ones and friends on Facebook! I send you my love and peace, Daddy.

    1. NSF – Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis
Always a risk when receiving a Gadolinium injection associated with some (not all) MRIs. Although extremely rare, contrast reactions can occur with Gadolinium (NSF or tissue retention of the Gadolinium). Always weigh the benefits vs. the risks in medical procedures.

    2. Hello , I am very understanding when it comes to this situation. I’m dealing with the same issue, and getting no where. They try to blame some of what I’m going through on my MS. Therefore I pray that you find an answer, and make it known so other are not just basically told it will eventually go away, or you are just allergic to that dye. In fact they’ve told me I’m now allergic to any and all contrest dyes. They have listed on my medical records through Emory.
      Gadolinium (respiratory distress)
Magnavist (burning, muscle aches, and very sore joints)

    3. Just this week I’ve been scheduled for two MRI’s with contrast, to be done at the same time. One head and neck for concussion damage, and one for the chest and abdomen for a Anemic, or possibly Leukemia condition. I only mention the reasons due to the extensive nature of the area being done-at one time. I was asked if I had an allergy to the dye they use, and I told them “ How would I know? “ The Doctors then scheduled them. Now, after reading the Norris’s story, I’m scared to the bone. I’ll have to think about it very, very, hard. God bless the Norris family, and may he cure Mrs. Norris soon.

      • I’m going through the same thing back in 2014 had gallbladder surgery was given contrast dye for testing and they had to stop it was like pouring acid into the IV I’m now bedridden with hellfire running in my arms and feet. 4. I am so sorry that happened to you. You have every right I the world to sue those idiots. When you said it was burning they, should of known you were being poisoned.

    5. I had no idea that he was married, let alone, a dad. Then, reading this makes me like him, EVEN MORE!!! He’s one of the VERY, VERY FEW men left in America that have remained loyal to their wives. Other men AND, WOMEN, TOO, could learn from this!!!
Now, hearing his beloved Gena is fighting a disease that was misdiagnosed and, improperly treated and, is causing her pain, almost brought me to tears!!! I am not surprised at his decision to remain by her side and, go to the mat for her. Yo. Fellas. See what he’s doing???? REAL MEN DO THAT!!! You go, Mr. Norris. I’ve just added y’all to my pray
