When they saw a distraught German Shepherd hanging out by a tomb for days on end, visitors to a cemetery in Belgrade, Serbia, were confused. The worried dog dug a hole underneath the grave and would not leave the area. The loyal dog was thought to be mourning the loss of her owner by the community, but the reality was quite different!

In an unexpected turn of events, the miserable dog revealed herself to be a homeless soul attempting desperately to care for her young pups.
The graveyard hole was intended to serve as a temporary home for her four puppies to be warm and safe throughout the terrible weather. However, despite her best attempts, the poor mother dog found it incredibly difficult to nurse and raise her fuzzy family.
Vesna Mihajloski, an animal rescuer, luckily stepped in to save the mother dog from her situation. She took the starving puppies to the shelter after rescuing them from their “grave home.”
The mother dog was happy to have a nice roof over her head and a warm bed for each of her adorable puppies. The adorable doggie family soon started prospering at the shelter thanks to the necessary medical care and healthy meals!
Vesna has made the busy mama dog joyful and at ease. The puppies soon started displaying their lovable, silly sides. What began as a heartbreaking story undoubtedly turned into a lovely mini miracle because of the mother dog’s unwavering devotion to her puppies!
