After the announcement of Meghan and Harry’s planned Netflix documentary, a royal expert claims that reconciliation with the royal family may become “impossible.” The pair had planned to release the docuseries at the end of this year, but in light of the negative press surrounding Netflix’s popular series “The Crown,” it is currently unknown when it will be released.
The topic of the project is unknown, but the Sussexes themselves were having second thoughts about it. As a result, the royal family is undoubtedly on pins and needles over the docuseries.
“In the Netflix documentary, there is obviously a lot of worry about prospective attacks on the monarchy. Though she benefits from her royal title, we have no idea what will be in it. However, based on her past behavior, we can assume that she won’t hold back in criticizing the monarchy “said Nile Gardiner, a royal observer.
According to Mr. Gardiner, reconciliation may become “difficult” if the series or Prince Harry’s impending biography feature harsh criticism of the royal family.
He said, “A reconciliation with the royal family may be impossible, in my opinion, due to the Netflix documentary and Harry’s book. especially if they contain significant criticisms of the royals and the British monarchy as a whole.”
After the Sussexes retired from royal life and relocated to Montecito, California, in 2020, it is thought that a gap developed between the royal family.
But after the Sussexes’ shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which Prince Harry said his brother Prince William and father, King Charles III felt “stuck” in the royal family, emotions were on the verge of exploding.
Royal watchers believed that the Sussexes would be reintegrated into society after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
However, the “reckless” release of the series, a deal apparently for an astounding $100 million, could stop any prospect of reconciliation.
In terms of the connection with the royal family, Mr. Gardiner stated: “I believe these projects might very well completely burn bridges.
Concerning both the Netflix video and Prince Harry’s upcoming documentary, “there seems to be a lot of recklessness involved.”
He continued by stating that he saw “little possibility” of a familial reconciliation between the two parties.
The remarks came amid rumors regarding the Netflix series premiere date.
According to recent reports, it would have been released as scheduled in 2022, but insiders reportedly told Deadline that Netflix “blinked first,” and the docuseries will now be released in 2023 instead.
The documentary was apparently giving Meghan and Harry second thoughts after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, but the streaming giant is believed to have pushed for the production to move forward.
Netflix’s upcoming season 5 of “The Crown,” which will be released in November, has drawn criticism for how it portrays the royal family.
First, the show’s scenario in which Prince Charles appears to push for the Queen’s forced abdication angered former prime minister John Major.
In response to The Telegraph, Mr. Major adamantly denies that this meeting ever occurred, branding it as a “barrel-load of crap.”
Actress Dame Judy Dench attacked the program in a piece for The Times and sought a disclaimer identifying it as a work of fiction.
The distinctions between historical authenticity and cheap sensationalism appear to be blurred more willingly as the drama gets closer to the present.
What do you think will happen after the release of the documentary?? Please let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to spread the news so that we can hear from more people.
