Mother Provides The “Easiest” Air Fryer Cleaning Tip That Doesn’t Involve Scrubbing

Budget-friendly air fryers are currently at the top of many people’s Christmas wish lists, and home cooks are lining up to try out the kitchen appliance. Of course, as we all know, any home-cooked meal necessitates some cleanup, and initially, air fryers appear to be a bit difficult in this regard.

Carolina McCauley, a smart mother and expert in home hacks, recently showed that cleaning your air fryer doesn’t have to be difficult. Carolina claims that if you use her quick and simple deep cleaning technique, you can make your air fryer appear “like new” without having to spend all night scrubbing.

Carolina McAuley, who uses the user name @carolina.mccauley on TikTok, started with step one of her time-tested procedure by adding one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and one cup of baking soda (25g) to her air fryer drawer and then covering it with hot water.

After giving the mixture a full 20 minutes to work its magic, she removed the drawer and dumped the unclean water into the sink. Then it was time to give the once-dirty drawer a thorough rinse before declaring it to be “as good as new.”

A number of foodies have been sharing their favorite air fryer hacks as the current cost of living problem forces more people to think about utilizing other cooking techniques. A particularly well-liked recipe is air fryer pizza, which TikTok user Becky Excell praised as “actually foolproof.”

Becky, who posts as @beckyexcell on Tiktok, showed how to roll out her gluten-free dough to fit the size of her air fryer basket by combining 260 grams of Greek yoghurt with 250 grams of self-raising flour. Becky then shared a video of the hack.

Becky gushed: “After six minutes at 200C, flip the base, add the toppings, and cook for a further three to four minutes. [..] Of course, the size of the pizza will depend on the size of your air fryer, but even a little air fryer can allow you to make a lot of diddy pizzas.”

“Still really tasty and incredibly quick and simple to prepare. It resembles a little pizza oven in essence.”
