After Wedding Betrayal, Heartbroken Bride Proceeds with Wedding Ceremony

After Being Betrayed On Her Wedding Day, The Heartbroken Bride Proceeds With A Celebration That Will Cost Her Everything

After spending her life money on it and getting dumped, a lady chose to continue her wedding without her spouse. When her fiancé, who she had been seeing for over four years, didn’t show up for their wedding, Kayley Stead, 27, realized she wouldn’t be getting married.

When her partner’s weeping mother broke the devastating news that her soon-to-be husband wouldn’t show up there, Kayley took the odd choice to proceed with the wedding. The major event occurred on September 15 at the Oxwich Bay Hotel in Gower.

Kayley had dreamed of having a big wedding that cost £12,000, complete with her loved ones at her side. Instead of how the bride-to-be had planned, the day went extremely differently.

Kayley continued with her wedding entrance, lunch, speeches, and dances, and even posed for professional pictures without her spouse’s help with her bridal party and relatives. She and her bridal party sang along to Lizzo’s “Good As Hell” as they entered the celebration, cut the top tier off of her wedding cake, and had her first dance with her father, Brian, 71, and the groomsmen, her brothers Craig, 47, Matthew, 46, Gary, 46, and another Craig, 43.

Kayley is trying to deal with what transpired as she now lives alone without any explanation from her ex and her honeymoon being postponed. She is happy that the celebration went as planned because it saved her time and money.

A GoFundMe page has been created by her friends to try to reclaim some of the money spent on the day as they have come together to support her and have hardly let her leave their side. “I saw the groom at approximately 4 pm the day before the wedding, and I haven’t heard from him since,” said insurance agent Kayley, a resident of Portmead, Swansea.

“We’ve attempted to contact him, but I’ve received no answer from him and no explanation as to why. I haven’t received an explanation, not that I now require one because the matter has advanced too far. It came as a complete shock. Seeing my children upset motivated me to improve the day, even though I had no idea he would accomplish it.

I didn’t want to think seriously about that day in the future. We were comparing the entire day to an episode of EastEnders or Hollyoaks. It didn’t seem like it fit in real life.

There were still plenty of happy moments during the day thanks to things like my wedding entrance, the sparkler walk, the first dance, and punching the wedding cake. All this money has been spent. Why not? I was looking forward to the food, dancing with my dad, and having time with my family.

As of December 2018, Kayley and her ex-partner had been together for over four years. In August 2020, he got down on one knee after they had already been dating. Kayley spent the night before the wedding with her bridesmaids at an Airbnb. The groom & his groomsmen stayed in a camper close to the wedding.

Kayley stated: “The night before the wedding, the groom and I had already decided to refrain from speaking, so I was unaware of his situation. I had no idea; I was in total, utter bliss.”

Unaware of Kayley, the groom left the caravan that evening and did not return, leaving the groomsmen to inform the wedding party of the terrible news. When the makeup artist came at a quarter past six in the morning, Kayley said, “We were woken

“After eating breakfast together, we both got dressed. My closest buddy was notified by one of the groomsmen that the groom had left.

My phone was hidden by the bridal party so they could select how to inform me, and I wouldn’t hear it from someone else. Before they frightened me, they wanted to be certain that he was truly gone.

I located my phone and discovered that his mother had left a missed call. When I phoned her back, she was crying. She informed me that he had left and taken a drive in the early morning hours. I wasn’t scared at that time.

He had occasionally taken a walk or a drive to clear his thoughts during stressful periods throughout our relationship, so I was still feeling positive. I assured the girls for a few hours that he would be there.

I genuinely thought he would show up because of my heartfelt conviction. Since I genuinely thought he would attend, I asked the girls, his family, and the groomsmen to continue getting dressed.

When Kayley talked with the groom’s father on the phone at approximately 11 am, she had just finished her hair and was finished with her makeup. He stated that her boyfriend had spoken and would not be present at the wedding.

Kayley said: “I had left at that moment. I was in tears. I had to convince myself that it wouldn’t happen after I informed my parents, the hairdresser, and the cameraman. The cameraman made a joke by asking, “Why don’t you keep going? You’ve spent all this money, you’re not getting it back, and all your guests are here, so why not?”

My sister was redoing my makeup since it was all gone at that point, Kayley continued. I decided when she asked, “Why don’t you do it, Kayley?”

The groomsmen were instructed to report to the wedding location so that the day could go regardless of the groom’s appearance by Kayley’s bridal party. After informing the guests of what had transpired, the two parties asked them to follow them to the garden where Kayley would be waiting for them.

I wasn’t interested in seeing the ceremony room, Kayley said. That’s something I’ve never seen. Everyone started crying since they had been looking forward to that day as my sister and best friend told the visitors what had happened. Before I saw my guests, I asked for ten minutes to myself.

“I chose to walk around the corner in my dress rather than down the aisle, drawing everyone’s attention to myself. Nobody understood how to proceed. They may have been a little hesitant to speak up. All of a sudden, everyone started applauding and hugging me.”

By the time Kayley made her big entrance, the groom’s family had already departed, but she was still surrounded by her friends, family, and loved ones, as well as all of the groomsmen. They helped Kayley continue her planned day without her fiance, and she made adjustments along the way to transform a terrible day into a lovely one.

The groomsmen and bridesmaids joined Kayley as they made their way to the head table while singing and dancing to Lizzo’s “Good as Hell,” replacing the customary entrance of the bride and groom. We were only acting. Naturally, she claimed.

“Everything was based on instinct, and we followed it. Even yet, I still wanted pictures since I thought the groomsmen and bridesmaids looked fantastic, and I wanted them to have pictures as they usually would.

Additionally, I was photographed in the garden wearing my clothing by the photographer. The bride and groom were then replaced with images of the family and bridesmaids.

I’m sure there are a few tear tracks down my face, but I like the pictures. Even though I had no intention of speaking, I wanted to thank everyone for remaining, although they weren’t required to.

“Even though it was an extremely uncomfortable circumstance for them to be in, they all stayed. We were going to overcome this, and I wanted everyone to understand that it wasn’t about feeling depressed. I didn’t want to hear people apologize to me all the time. Let’s rejoice that they choose to stay rather than go that path.”

The sign that said “Kayley’s Shindig” quickly replaced “Mr. and Mrs.,” which had been the photo booth’s initial display along with the couple’s expected married name. Kayley danced to Love You To The Moon & Back by Dolly Parton with her dad, siblings, and groomsmen instead of the groom for her first dance.

I had always imagined dancing at my wedding with my father, Kayley said. I always wanted to dance with him since he was 71, and I always worried he and my mother Dee, 63, wouldn’t be at my wedding.

“I wanted to thank them for staying, so the groomsmen and my four brothers joined. They didn’t flee, though if they had, I would have completely understood; instead, they stood with me the entire day.”

Kayley went by herself through the tunnel of sparklers rather than with her groom. After having a rough day with her guests, she slept the night in the bridal suite with her maid of honor and one of her closest friends.

Having to skip the honeymoon to Turkey, Kayley is currently adjusting to life as a newlywed without her spouse. With still no word or explanation from him, she packed up her ex’s stuff from her house and left them with her family.

My closest friends have been at my side ever since Kayley said. It was strange to be in that place without being able to view all of his belongings, so they slept in the room with me, so I wasn’t alone. I don’t believe in putting out fires with fire; instead, I’d like to handle things as well as I can while maintaining calm. I don’t want anyone to assume that because I didn’t anticipate this behavior earlier, I gave him an excuse to leave me.

“I had no signal or hint. He gave me no indication of the reason he would leave me on that day. He was chatting about the honeymoon a few days earlier when we went out to eat. Last Christmas, he gave me a book filled with the handwritten vows of his love for me, each accompanied by a memory of our great times.

Jordie Cullen, 27, who is Maid of Honor for Kayley and her best friend, created the GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the wedding expenses, stated: “Kayley is a selfless person who would sacrifice everything for anyone. She didn’t deserve to be abandoned on the morning of her wedding without any notification from the groom.

Now that our girl has fallen, please help us get her up, brush her off, and continue
