The guy who grabbed Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin and was decked by police before being taken into custody has explained his actions in some rather bizarre terms.
Police arrested Muhammad Khan, 28, on Friday after being accused of pushing a kid out of the way before jumping up for the Queen’s coffin (September 16).
Video from the situation shows shocked bystanders and a guy being tackled to the ground by security personnel.
The 28-year-old revealed why he initially grasped the Queen’s coffin when he appeared in court following the dramatic event.
Khan informed the court that, according to the Daily Mail, “he did not think [the Queen was] dead” and wanted to find out.
In addition, he allegedly told the judge that he intended to write to the Royal Family and that, if he did not hear back, he “planned to trespass at royal houses” to track down the Queen and talk to her.

He reportedly told the Westminster court that he thought King Charles was responsible for the Queen’s death.
Under Section 4A of the Public Order Act, the 28-year-old was charged before Westminster Magistrates Court.
Attorney Luke Staton gave the court a description of what happened on Friday, September 16.
“Westminster Hall was now in reach of the defendant. The cops present then observed him walk up to the casket, “Staton reportedly told the Sun.
He rose from the carpet and moved toward the catafalque, where he took hold of the Royal Standard flag flown over the casket with both of his hands.
Afterward, the court was informed that Khan had been tackled, removed from the area, taken into custody, and questioned by police.
According to Staton, who spoke to the Daily Mail, “the defendant did convey the concept that the Queen is not dead and that he approached the coffin because he wanted to inspect for himself.”
Khan’s plans to attempt to attend the state burial, which will be attended by members of the Royal Family and officials from across the world, were also made known by Staton.
According to the Sun, the prosecution said, “He planned to write to the Royal Family, and if they did not reply, he planned to go to Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, and Balmoral to try to talk to the Queen.”
Khan received the label of “delusional” from District Judge Michael Snow.
According to the Daily Mail, Snow stated that at the time you were at Westminster, you didn’t believe the Queen had passed away, which is why you were walking toward the casket to confirm that she had.
He continues to have delusions and believes that the Queen is still alive. He also believes that King Charles is somehow involved and plans to pay his respects at Windsor Castle.
Khan has been granted bail with the requirement that he goes to a mental health facility in east London until his next court appearance on October 18.
