Vegan protests at supermarket meat counters are fairly typical. Still, things took a strange turn when a group of vegans decided to place flowers on packed meat to mourn the deceased animals.
The vegans took it upon themselves to ‘pay tribute to the product in a funeral-style manner.

The clip, from a few years ago but resurfaced on Twitter, shows a small crowd gathered around the meat section at a supermarket.
Orchestral music plays in the background as one demonstrator goes forward holding three roses.
He carefully sets them on the products throughout the counter, with a Fresh Meat sign above it.
Another follows suit, scattering the flowers on the right-hand section.
The individual shooting what appears to be a funeral procession then switches to a POV shot where they arrange the flowers over the boxed red meat, bringing the 14-second video to a conclusion.
The video in question has received incredible 1.1k likes, nearly 1k quote tweets, and over 300 retweets.
Hundreds of people flocked to comment on the ‘hommage’ video.
As one Twitter user put it: “I’m not sure how long my mind can handle this planet. Nowadays, everything is a video-captured virtue signal for a noble cause.”
Another saw the opportunity to make fun of the group: “Now I can bring my girlfriend a rose with dinner.”
“If you could keep doing this, my wife would appreciate it when I brought her flowers and a steak to prepare,” a third said.
Some were tired of the video’s substance, with one Twitter user writing, “That’s enough Twitter for today.”
Others attempted to spark a discussion on vegetarianism.
“When animals eat meat, it’s acceptable, but when people do, it’s suddenly horrible,” one individual wondered.
Some found the footage embarrassing, with one person writing, “Never help themselves these bunch do they?” “How do you do anything like this without dying of cringe?” questioned another.
Others, on the other hand, compared the rose-laying to other types of animal rights protests.
“This is the most honorable thing they’ve done so far. I’m shocked they didn’t throw blood at the end of the video, “just one person wrote.
The news comes after vegan activists superglued themselves to Muller lorries in Droitwich, Worcestershire, last week.
Traffic was instantly halted as roughly forty Animal Rebellion members climbed over the vans protesting the dairy produce.
