Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin marked their 25th wedding anniversary on May 17. She was described by him as a “wonderful wife.” She promised that they would be together for “the next 25+ years.”
In Palm Beach County, Florida, Flavin filed for divorce 94 days later.
The divorce documents, which ET was able to get, stated that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,” and there are already indications that the process may become controversial.
The divorce papers state that Flavin suspects Stallone of concealing marital assets. As a result, she has asked the court to order Stallone to refrain “from selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”
During the divorce proceedings, she also wants to continue residing in the Palm Beach property they shared.
Through his representative, Stallone responded to the divorce, telling ET, “My family means the world to me. We are resolving these private matters peacefully and in private.”
ET has also contacted Flavin for a response.
The actor and model appeared to have been an uncommon sight in Hollywood not so long ago, as they seemed to personify enduring love. Therefore, it begs the question of what precisely happened during those 94 days to cause the couple to celebrate their anniversary one day and call it quits the next.
We look more closely at their connection, the family they built, and the moments when it seemed like things might not work out.

The Cover-Up
According to a Daily Mail article from August 22, there was difficulty in paradise as Stallone covered up the picture of his wife that was on his bicep. Zach Perez, an artist, posted photographs that have since been erased that showed the new tattoo.

Files For Divorce, Flavin
The divorce filing by Flavin in Florida was confirmed by ET on August 24. She claims that she wishes to continue residing in the couple’s Palm Beach, Florida, house throughout the divorce process. Additionally, she thinks her spouse is hiding marital assets.
“According to information and belief, the Husband has participated in intentional asset waste, depletion, and/or dissipation, which has had a negative financial impact on the marital estate.
According to Florida Statutes Section 61.075, equity requires that the wife be made whole and compensated by obtaining an unequal allocation of marital assets. A prohibition against the Husband selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or disposing of any assets should also be issued while the case is still pending “study the divorce papers.
Flavin also wishes to maintain her last name.
A Dispute Over A Puppy Led To Divorce?
Citing sources close to the couple, TMZ reported that Flavin filed for divorce soon after arguing with Stallone about whether or not he should adopt another dog. According to the source, Sly didn’t want a second dog but wanted a Rottweiler on August 24.
However, none of the points raised would have ended a long-term marriage, despite the heated dispute that supposedly followed.
Neither of them changed their minds about how they felt about the dog, but Stallone apparently overcame the impasse by reportedly adopting the dog, whose name was Dwight—the name of the character he plays in the TV series Tulsa King.
Stallone reportedly learned of Flavin’s divorce filing when he was in Oklahoma filming the show, according to TMZ.
